Kristjan brings more than two decades of lettings, agency and PropTech experience to The Depositary. A tenant since 1998 and an agent since the early 2000s, he co-founded base property specialists with An Deckers before turning a very real operational frustration into The Depositary: a better way to manage tenancy conclusions.

A vocal advocate for professional letting agents, smarter technology and a rental sector that works better for everyone, Kristjan is equal parts operator, campaigner and restless fixer. He is happiest challenging “that’s just how it’s always been done” - and proving there is, in fact, a better way.

Head of Operations

Carla leads operations at The Depositary, making sure clients get real value from the platform from onboarding onwards. She has worked in PropTech since 2011, including eight years in agency CRM, before joining The Depositary in 2019.

Carla combines deep sector knowledge with a practical understanding of how busy property management teams actually work day to day. Her focus is client success, implementation and continuous improvement - turning product potential into operational reality. Calm, direct and relentlessly helpful, Carla is often the difference between software being adopted and software genuinely changing the way teams work.

Co-Founder

An is the operational mind behind much of The Depositary’s practical design. Having worked in lettings since the late 1990s and co-founded base property specialists with Kristjan in 2004, she understands the legal, technical and human detail that sits behind every tenancy conclusion.

Driven by a belief that better process creates better outcomes, An brings rigour, fairness and an obsessive eye for detail to the platform. Her focus is making sure The Depositary does not just look good in a demo - it works in the real world, for agents, landlords and residents alike.

Technical Partner

Chris leads the technology delivery behind The Depositary through Sprint Innovations. With a track record delivering complex systems for major UK brands, he brings the technical depth needed to support a platform built for scale, reliability and constant improvement.

His job is to make the complicated feel simple - building the infrastructure that helps agents, landlords and residents move through tenancy conclusions with less friction and more confidence.
